Booking an interpreter
Our booking procedure is simple and easy to use. To book an interpreter, we ask for one of our booking forms to be filled in with the required information and returned to us, either via fax +44(0)844 482 0475 or email. Urgent requests welcome. Please click here to book Interpreter online.
The information required on the booking form includes the date the interpreter is needed, the time of the appointment, venue, language, the name of the person who made the booking and the name of the client who the interpreter is for.
We also encourage our customers to provide us with information on the form such as the nationality and sex of the client, so that we can send an interpreter of the same nationality and sex where available. We are also happy for customers to let us know if they have a specific interpreter who they prefer to use and for consistency, try to send the same interpreter to a client as we may have previously provided.
If you need any help filling out the form, please do not hesitate to contact us.
For every face to face interpreting session, our interpreters are required to arrive ten minutes before the appointment time. They have ID cards which they must wear at all times for security reasons. They must also carry their mobile phones with them at all times so that they can always be contacted but have to switch them off for the duration of each session. They must only interpret what is said in a session between the customer and the client and cannot give their own opinions or points of view. They must stay impartial at all times.
Our interpreters take timesheets with them to each booking. At the end of each interpreting session, we require our customers to fill in the timesheet with information such as the start and finish time of the appointment, their name and signature and we also provide space on the timesheet for any feedback they may wish to provide us with.
